Community and Sport Update
Congratulations to Cruz who proudly represented St Benedict’s at the NSWCCC Cross Country Championships last week, placing 10th individually among students from schools across the state. His Polding team also achieved an outstanding result, placing 3rd overall. Well done, Cruz, on your dedication and sportsmanship — a fantastic effort that displayed your talents.
Congratulations to Archer as his leadership was
demonstrated when we represented St Benedict’s in the Diocesan touch football team at the Polding trials. The Dio touch team had an impressive run, winning all but one game. Archer's skills and sportsmanship earned him the honor of being named captain for the Dio team. Congratulations to Archer and the entire Dio touch team for their fantastic performance!
Stage 2 had a fantastic time on Tuesday at the Touch Football Gala Day held in Wallsend. The students showed great enthusiasm and energy throughout the day, with plenty of tries scored and many opposing players tagged. Whether they won, lost, or drew, the focus remained on having fun and enjoying the game. One of the most memorable highlights was the sportsmanship displayed by all students, especially as they came together to cheer on their teammates with encouragement chants. It was wonderful to see such teamwork and positivity on display. Well done to everyone for their outstanding effort and participation!
