Cross Country Championships at The Equestrian Centre in Sydney last week. Cruz's outstanding performance has earned him a spot at the NSWPSSA championship, which will be held back in Sydney at the end of July. We wish Cruz the best of luck as he competes at the state level!

We also want to acknowledge Mackenzie for her participation and achievements in the event. Well done to all our young athletes for their hard work and dedication!

BEST AFL GALA DAY - Student voice

When all the kids arrived, we sat and listened to the rules, so no one got hurt. After all, the rules were explained we had our first match and scored some ripper of goals. The girls played 4 and the boys played 5 games and completed heaps of amazing tackles. At lunch everyone had a fun contest which was the furthest kick and to do a nice handpass.

The boys won 2 out of 5 games and played so well. The girls won 2 out of 4 games and played amazing. Everyone was having a blast and were using their best manners to teachers, umpires and other schools. It’s great to pay sport with all your friends for a day!

AFL Paul Kelly Cup – Stage 3 Gala Day
Thursday 12th June – Feighan Oval, Warners Bay

After two weather postponements, the sun finally shone for our Stage 3 students as they took to the field for the AFL Paul Kelly Cup Gala Day at Warners Bay. Both teams played with heart and determination, with the girls’ team finishing an impressive 2nd and the boys’ team placing 4th after an even mix of wins and close losses throughout the day.

More impressive than the scoreboard was the resilience, sportsmanship and perseverance shown by all students. Their skills developed as the day progressed, and it was a joy to see their teamwork and confidence grow. There were plenty of proud moments – and even a few laughs as the students taught Mrs Lewis some of the finer rules of the game!

Special mention to Audrey in Year 6, who competed in the longest kick competition and proudly placed 2nd — a fantastic achievement!

A heartfelt thank you to the parents who came along to cheer from the sidelines and support our teams – your encouragement made the day even more special.

Congratulations to all involved on a wonderful day of Aussie Rules!

Have a great week,

Megan Hunt
